Reports to: Vice President of Operations

 For over 90 years, Binder Heating & Air Conditioning has always been a family owned business with a vision for customer satisfaction and excellence.  We provide heating and air conditioning services for residential and commercial customers throughout the metro area.  Our business covers all areas of new construction, remodeling, and service.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail orientated, highly motivated, person with outstanding customer relation skills to fill the position of Service Manager in our office. The Service Manager provides the first contact for our customers on the phone and in person in a professional manner, handles most of the day-to-day functions of the office, which includes the service department and service technicians and varying administrative functions. Ideal candidate will have previous experience running a small to medium sized service department.

Specific Responsibilities

Service Department

Field all service calls, collect customer information, schedule and dispatch service technicians, locate parts or equipment, warranty paperwork, answer general questions in regards to heating or cooling, work with customers to solve problems

Accounts Receivable

Create and maintain billing records, record all receivables daily, assemble bank deposit,  some collections

Administrative Support

Answering phone, process payroll paperwork, enter customer information into Quickbooks and Field Edge, maintain records, maintain President’s schedule, clerical  duties, maintain relationship with union and submit benefits, obtain information for superiors as requested   

Office Operations

Maintain supplies in the office and office equipment, process all mail, design and implement office policies, maintain records and filings

Perform Other Duties as Required

Required Skills

  •  High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or training preferred

  • Previous experience in HVAC service company

  • Knowledge of Quick Books, Microsoft Office and general computer skills

  • Ability to solve problems

  • Effective communication skills

  • Detail orientated and accuracy

  • Efficient time management skills

  • Ability to create systems

  • Ability to multitask and handle potentially stressful situations calmly and appropriately

  • Must be responsible and dependable with information and tasks

Compensation

 Compensation dependent on education and experience. Health insurance and retirement available.
